Hypnotherapy For Panic Attacks

Hypnotherapy For Panic Attacks

Anyone who has experienced panic attacks will know how debilitating they can be and how difficult the experience is to describe. A panic attack is a sudden and strong feeling of stress, fear and anxiety where our body experiences an unexplained physical stress reaction like the fight or flight response. These feelings are usually unexplained, sudden and extremely distressing.

The physical symptoms are similar to those we experience when we’re in danger. Heart palpitations, sweating, dizziness, chest pain or tightness, feeling sick, shortness of breath, hot flushes and feeling detached are all common symptoms of panic attacks.

Hypnotherapy For Panic Attacks

If you’re experiencing panic attacks regularly and they are interfering with your quality of life please do seek help. I have helped many people suffering with panic disorders – there is no need to suffer in silence. Whatever the cause of your panic attacks, my advanced hypnotherapy is a safe and effective treatment.

Erase Painful Memories

Some people’s panic episodes are caused by previous experiences or negative memories that get triggered and then set off negative physical and mental responses. Hypnotherapy can help you explore these memories in a safe place and deal with them effectively. Once you’ve freed yourself from these experiences you’ll find that the panic attacks fade. Avoidance tends to only make them worse.

Self-Hypnosis

There are techniques which you can learn and practise at home. I teach my clients these techniques so they feel empowered to deal with panic attacks in the moment. These can include calmness and relaxation triggers or positive visualisation. Because we have practised them together, you will find it easy to recreate these techniques out of session. After just a few sessions you will find you need these techniques less and less.

Long Term Relief

Hypnotherapy treatment for panic attacks focuses on understanding the underlying causes. Are there specific triggers and what mental processes are taking place to set these off? Hypnotherapy can also help you cope more effectively with attacks once triggered and enable you to self soothe.

Resilience

Another benefit of hypnotherapy sessions is that they can help build resilience and confidence. This means that you can face life’s future challenges without the fear of slipping back into previous behaviour patterns.

Next Steps

We can work together to plan a personal treatment program for you depending on the cause of your panic attacks, your lifestyle and personal requirements. Together we’ll work to introduce real positive changes, boost your confidence and relieve symptoms putting you back in control of your own life. This can often be achieved in as little as 3 sessions so please do get in touch to learn more.
